The Good Buddy! Dog Training Program

Dog owners come to Good Buddy Dog Training because they want results and they don’t want to mess with group classes or programs that are one-size fits all.

Dog Obedience Issues

Whether your dog is digging up the yard, jumping on guests, barking excessively, charging the door, or pulling on the leash, our personalized approach ensures effective solutions tailored to your dog's unique needs. Using only positive reinforcement techniques, our certified trainers work closely with you and your pet in the comfort of your home, creating a stress-free environment that promotes lasting behavior change and strengthens the bond between you and your furry friend.

Some Dog Training Methods Make it Worse

Choosing dog training methods that do not rely on positive reinforcement (such as balance training or dominance training) can have serious consequences for both you and your pet. Techniques involving punishment or dominance can lead to increased fear, anxiety, and even aggression in dogs, making behavioral issues worse rather than better. Such approaches can damage the trust and bond between you and your canine companion, making them unresponsive to your cues and unmanageable.

Positive Reinforcement Works Better Long-Term

Positive dog training methods are the most effective way to achieve long-term success and a harmonious relationship with your furry companion. By using positive reinforcement, you build trust and encourage good behavior through rewards and praise, rather than fear or punishment. This approach not only helps your dog learn commands and manners more effectively but also strengthens the bond between you and your pet, creating a loving and respectful connection. Experience the benefits of positive dog training for yourself—schedule your in-home evaluation with Good Buddy Dog Training today and take the first step towards a happier, well-behaved dog!

What People Are Saying About Good Buddy Dog Training

Very good dog training. The dogs have progressed quite far and he gave us the skills to keep them learning new behaviors. I was very happy with the in-home training and how he fit it into our schedule. I looked at four different trainers before selecting Paul and am glad I chose him. If you need dog training then this is the place to get it.

I have nothing but great things to say about Good Buddy Dog Training. I’ve tried working with other trainers and they kinda made me feel like my dog was a lost cause. I started working with Paul and OMG can I see a difference in my pup. The instructions are simple to follow and Paul was really great to work with. I recommend Good Buddy Dog Training to any and everyone I know looking for a dog trainer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does private dog training cost?

The cost of our private dog training program varies based on your dog's specific needs and the training goals set during the initial evaluation. In most cases, our 6-Week Good Buddy! Dog Training Program is sufficient to reach our clients goals and is priced at $850. For more complex cases, there may be additional training required which you will discuss with your trainer following the initial evaluation.

What’s included in the package?

By the end of the Good Buddy! Dog Training Program, the dog will have a strong grasp of the following commands and fundamentals of obedience training: Sit, Shadowing, Loose Leash, Walking, Down, Come, Stay, and Place. Additionally, we’ll solve any minor behavioral problems such as jumping up on guests, charging the door, or digging in the yard. In the case of strong reactivity, it may take an additional two weeks of training to accomplish everything.

Why isn’t the evaluation free?

The initial evaluation is a crucial part of our private dog training process. It allows our trainers to assess your dog's behavior and create a personalized training plan. We pay our trainers for the time slot that you reserve, even if a customer cancels or forgets. When you choose to move forward with the Good Buddy! Dog Training Program, your fee from the evaluation is applied to your tuition.

How many weeks is the training?

Our standard private dog training program spans six weeks. Each week, our trainer will work with you and your dog to cover various aspects of obedience and behavior modification. In cases of more complex behavioral issues, additional weeks may be recommended.

How long is each session?

Each private dog training session typically lasts about one hour. During this time, the trainer will demonstrate techniques, work with your dog, and guide you through exercises to practice between sessions.

What if something comes up and I have to miss a week?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to miss a week, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule your private dog training session. We strive to be flexible and accommodate your schedule to ensure consistent progress in your dog's training.
